This school aims at training a wide audience of scientists on new concepts, quantum devices, and optical systems in the THz and MIR frequency range. Its program will provide scientific and technical tools to broaden the THz and MIR community's knowledge on recent advances in these fields and thus accompany the researchers in a strong international competition. Also, this project will allow scientists from all the French laboratories involved in these general themes to meet and discuss about their needs, expectations, and research perspectives.
The school will take place at the Villa Clythia in Fréjus (France) from June 27th to July 1st, 2022.
Main topics are:
THz spintronics
THz optomechanics
Optics and magneto-optics of 2D materials
Infrared optoelectronics using nanocrystals
Silicon photonics in the mid-IR
Terahertz molecular lasers
Frequency combs and solitons quantum cascade lasers
Microscopy with THz waves: Techniques and Applications
High-resolution THz spectroscopy and related instrumentations
Unipolar quantum optoelectronics for free-space applications
